My Personal Food Philosophy: Red Meat, Animal Fats & Real Nourishment

Food has always been foundational in my life.

I was raised on wild game and local beef as a farmer’s daughter in Wyoming, and from an early age, I understood that the quality of our food matters. Over time, through my own research, lived experience, and time in the birth world, that understanding has only deepened — especially when it comes to fertility, pregnancy, and maternal health.

This video is a look into my personal philosophy around nourishment.

I share why I prioritize nutrient-dense animal foods, particularly red meat, and how they’ve supported my own health and pregnancy. I talk about the role of traditional fats, the importance of minerals and real food, and why I’ve chosen to move away from highly processed ingredients in favor of simpler, more ancestral options.

We also get into:

  • why animal fats play a critical role in building healthy babies

  • the value of organ meats as a deeply nourishing food

  • fermented foods and their role in digestion and overall health

  • my experience with raw dairy, especially during early pregnancy

  • and why eggs remain one of the most powerful, accessible foods

This isn’t medical advice or a one-size-fits-all approach. It’s simply my perspective — shaped by where I come from, what I’ve learned, and what I’ve seen work in my own life.

If you’re interested in approaching fertility and pregnancy through a more grounded, nutrient-dense lens, this is a conversation worth exploring.
