The Biggest Fertility Mistake Women Make Before Pregnancy

Preparing for pregnancy is something most people don’t think about until they’re already in it.

For many women, the focus on fertility begins only after months — or even years — of trying to conceive. But by that point, so much of the foundation has already been laid.

In this video, I talk about one of the biggest mistakes I see when it comes to fertility and pregnancy preparation: overlooking nutrition, and more specifically, the role that sugar plays in metabolic health.

Blood sugar regulation is not a small detail — it’s foundational. It influences hormones, energy, and the body’s ability to support conception in the first place. And yet, it’s rarely discussed in a meaningful or practical way before pregnancy.

I also explore how modern culture tends to encourage surface-level preparation while ignoring the deeper, more impactful factors — things like nutrient density, metabolic health, and the long-term habits that shape reproductive outcomes.

This isn’t about perfection or restriction. It’s about understanding what actually supports the body and taking a more intentional approach to preparing for pregnancy.

If you’re thinking about conception, or simply want to better understand how your daily choices impact your fertility, this is a conversation worth having.
